Mogu M5 renderings show off 5-inch quad-core phone design running Android 4.2

Way before the Chinese New Year, low-cost phone maker Mogu announced they have plans for a new range of quad-core MT6589 phones, and now that the celebrations are coming to an end we get our first glimpse at the flagship Mogu M5!

While the fact that Mogu are launching a 5-inch, quad-core phablet for 2013 doesn’t come as much of a surprise, what has shocked us is the design of the new phone.

Gizchina News of the week

It’s refreshing to see another unique looking phone which it’s own styling come out of China, and from the front and sides the M5 is quite a handsome device, it’s just a shame those looks don’t make their way to the rear of the phone, which looks a little dated.

While some of the M5’s styling aren’t quite up to date, the OS certainly is as the phone will come with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean installed as standard. The rest of the specs haven’t been fully listed just yet, but we do know the processor is a MT6589 quad-core model and the rear camera will e an 8 mega-pixel unit.
