1GB JiaYu G4 could be scrapped! G6 phablet and G10 tablet making an appearance!

Everyone has recovered after the Chinese New Year break, and the news is rolling in thick and fast as JiaYu have revealed pricing details of their upcoming phones and a possible tablet!

A move at JiaYu looks to be in favour of dumping plans for the low-cost 1GB RAM JiaYu G4 at 999 Yuan ($160) as some are worried it would canalise sales of the JiaYui G2 and JiaYu G3.

Instead it looks like the 1GB version could be scraped and only the 2GB RAM model will be launched, but with no solid launch date we are guessing as to when!

In addition the the G4 pricing details, JiaYu have also commented on the price of the JiaYu G5, a 4.5-inch iPhone 5 replica running Android on a quad-core processor, the JiaYu G6, which is expected to be a phablet with stylus and a tablet named the JiaYu G10!

The G5 will go on sale for 1099 Yuan ($176), the G6 at 1199 Yuan ($192) and the G10 tablet at 1599 Yuan ($256)!

i think, that only 1 GB RAM will be launched, because there’s info only about 1 gb version on site and i don’t see any comments about 2 gb on forum or in comments to G4 ( http://www.jiayumobileshop.com/review/product/list/id/41/category/14/ , 3 weeks ago they promised to post 2 gb version and still no info… ). and posted benchmark ( https://www.gizchina.com/2013/02/03/real-jiayu-g4-benchmarks-production-phone-looks-set-for-launch/ ) shows result for 1 gb version. also 95% of other mt6589 phones has 1 gb. so i don’t think that Jiayu will launch 2 gb version. imho, it’s just “lure”.

For me, they shouldn’t be worried about jiayu2. It’s old and with the pricing of quadcore mtk phones now I think g2 is irrelevant already. They should just proceed making 1gb version of g4.

any info about G6 specs, i read somewhere that it will have 5.5″ full HD screen, and quad core processor. If this is true then Umi X2 and Sheng X7 has worthy competitor at competitive price.

Then watch them delaying the phone cuz they will tell us they had to cancel the production all the 1gb version and start over with the 2gb.

as far as i am concerned umi and giyau just close business umi i had a sticky screen .. jiyau G3 updated rom have a massive virus where lookout stole my contact details and now im fucked battery dont charge .. going back to my nokia n95 enuff is enuff of chinese bullshit !!!! wasted so much fuking money nothing i can do so fukin angry … dont buy any of these bullshits simple as that
