Xiaomi MI2A to replace M1S could be first Snapdragon 400 phone!

It seems we can’t wonder on to the web without rumours of Xiaomi’s purported MI2A showing up. New reports from insider sources now suggest that the MI2A will be a 4.46-inch budget phone to replace the ageing Xiaomi M1S.

Just this week we have heard reports claiming that the Xiaomi Mi3 is in development, then that the Mi3 is in fact the MI2A and could be a 5-inch phone, we’ve even seen listings for MI2A accessories, but these latest whisperings seem the most logical to us!

Gizchina News of the week

New insider leaks tell of a new low-cost Xiaomi MI2A phone which will feature a 720p 4.46-inch display, ultra-thin bezel, 1GB RAM, 16GB of built-in memory, and 8 mega-pixel rear camera all powered by a dual-core Qualcomm MSM8930 Snapdragon 400 chip running at 1.7Ghz and Adreno 305GPU.

If Xiaomi follow past time-tables for their low-cost “Youth Phone” launches, the MI2A could be unveiled as early as May and should cost anywhere in the region of 1299 -1499 Yuan ($208- $240).

Those are totally weak specs, at that price it should be a quad with 2GB of RAM

    hi , dear Andi
Do you think that this brand new Mi2A
will be really with a wider screen of 4,46″
that means Xiaomi have to make a new frame compared to the actual Mi2

    what do you think ?

Yes, I don’t see why not. The Mi3 could then be a 5-inch device.
