Alcatel aren’t just bringing Firefox OS to the masses with their new budget phone, but have also launched the quad-core Alcatel OneTouchIdol X with 1080display and quad-core MTK processor.
For those of you in the know Alcatel and TCL work very closely on their phones, so there is a chance that the Alcatel OneTouchIdol X could launch under the TCL brand at a lower price in the near future! That’s super exciting as the Idol X has some fantastic hardware in a beautifully designed body!
Gizchina News of the week
The selling point of the phone is going to be the 5-inch 1080 HD display, but it’s not all about visuals as the OneTouchIdol X should have awesome performance thanks to the quad-core MT6589 CPU, there is also a 13 mega-pixel rear camera, and even Android 4.2 Jelly Bean as standard.
The design is very attractive with a red rear casing and black front, but the thin design has meant only a 2000mAh battery can fit inside. Overall though this looks like one great phone, and we can’t wait to see the TCL version.
