If you read our earlier post about Samsung’s super huge 5.9-inch phablet and it has wetted your appetite you might want to mark March 11th in your diary as that’s the date the quad-coreNekenN3phablet goes on sale.
Sure the N3 (no relation to the Newman N3) is slightly smaller at ‘only’ 5.7-inch, and has ‘just’ a quad-core processor, but costing just 1499 Yuan ($240) it sure costs much less than any Samsungphablet ever will!
Gizchina News of the week
The NekenN3 follows the tried and trusted MTK formula for 2013. Basically you grab a Mediatek MT6589 quad-core processor, add 1GB RAM, and a 4GB splash of ROM, thoroughly mix with a 5.7-inch 1280 x 720 display, 2500mAh battery, 8 mega-pixel rear camera, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and hey presto you have a powerful, yet cheap Android phablet!
Speaking of powerful, unconfirmed reports stat the NekenN3 reaches 13,863 on Antutu, which is higher than any other MT6589 phone with 1GB RAM we have heard of, and more impressive due to the large screen size.
As mentioned above pre-sales for the NekenN3 begin on March 11th, and you can find more details on their website here.
