Video: UMi X2 Vs Freelander i30 Antutu shootout!

Could this be the first ever hands on video of the UMi X2 and the Freelander i30? Check it out for yourself after the jump!

The video below shows alleged samples of the UMi X2 and Freelander i30 (possibly the Newman N3) running side by side complete with an Antutu shootout! The real devices can be seen from 0.45 seconds and show the white UMi X2 on the left with a black Freelander i30 on the right!

According to the details provided in the video description the UMi X2 doesn’t have 2GB RAM, but instead is a 1GB RAM pre-production sample, which explains the slightly lower than expected 11,575 Antutu score. The Freelander i30 manages a slightly better 11,721 Antutu benchmark.

  This might not be a flagship phone, it might just be a larger phone? A true N2 replacement could arrive as the N4. Just speculation though

still no antutu (read “proof”) for 2gb versions of ANY phones (Jiayu, UMI and etc.). i really doubt that they will exist.

  It would make sense for the Newman N3 to use a MTK processer, since the N1 did. The N4 will probably go back to Exynos.

  I already posted on Gizchina this information:
  at this moment MT6589 cannot support 2GB RAM.
  Maybe this problem will be solved in May.
  So this is the real reason for all these „Youth” first releases with lower specs.

    sorry, i missed your post about “no support of 2gb by 6589”. it was just my thoughts. can you please give a link to this info?

After seeing this I have to say these two are bottom of the list. The Jiayu G4 and the iOcean X7 have thinner bezels and much cleaner designs and very competitive price wise. The Zopo zp960 looks good too but will probably price itself out of contention and maybe a way off as well given we have only seen renders. I’m sure this can’t be the newman flagship though, as it will surely use exynos in which case that may be a solid competitor.

the on screen keys are annoying on UMI X2. i hope they could have an update for it

I hope that this is not will the Newman n3 sucessor, in fact is an Eastcom w1 with 1Gb of Ram and Mtk processor and 720p screen resolution…that’s not a real Newman or Freelander n3/i30 deserve…

I must say that everything looks nicer and more readable on the 720p screen vs. the same sized 1080p screen.
This high res race has taken the software at a surprise, I think.
Hopefully Google will evolve fast and not let us suffer from tiny icons and etc. like Microsoft did for all those years before vista and window 7 icons and menu sizes.
Those really should be resolution independent.
Is there a setting now that can resolve this?
