Beidou bosses have leaked the next generation Beidou Little Pepper 3 will be a 5.7-inch1080HD phone with Tegra 4 CPU and LTE! Oh, they also have plans to animate the Xiaomi Mi3!
China is fast becoming the place to look when searching for phones sporting the latest and greatest hardware. The Oppo Find 5 was the first phone to really highlight this, and news that ZTE will be the first Tegra 4 handset maker firmly concretes that fact, however ZTE won’t be the only ones.
Beidou have rose to fame after launch the original dual-core Little Pepper last year. Since then they have launch the 5-inch screened Big Cola and Tegra 3 equipped quad-core Little Pepper, but it’s what they have planned for Q3 this year that we are really excited about.
Gizchina News of the week
On his official Weibo, the CEO of Beidou, has leaked a comparison table showing the unannounced Xiaomi Mi3 verses the all new and never seen before Tegra 4 powered Little Pepper!
We’re going to grab a pinch of salt for the specs as Beidou have made big claims in the past which came to nothing. According to the table, the highlights of the Beidou Little Pepper 3 include a full HD 5.7-inch display, 2GB RAM, Tegra 4 processor, Android 4.2 and LTE support. The new Little Pepper 3 will also boast a 13 mega-pixel rear camera, 5 mega-pixel front, 32GB ROM and NFC all for just 1999 Yuan ($321)!
All in all a very exciting phone and one we cannot wait to see in the flesh!
Has anybody an idea when we will see tegra 4 chips available?
I want to know when i can expect this beautiful looking phone with even better looking specs!!!
This is indeed a very good observation. It’s very important to let people know this is the quad core A9 Tegra 4i not the quad core A15 Tegra 4 ( no i ).
It’s not a bad CPU of course but not that much better than the quad core Mediatek based on A7. Of course if the frequency will be 2.4 instead of 1.2 than it will be a lot better than the MTK6589 but still … it’s not really at the A15 level of performance.
Will there be CDMA support? When this phone comes out in Q3, can I use it with Boost Mobile, a CDMA carrier in the US…? I currently have a galaxy s3 on boost which I am tethering from, to my Lenovo IdeaPad tablet at the moment typing this message from.
The specs seem fantastic on paper though the picture illustrates a very elongated device as if I was holding a hot dog and bun? the 5.7 inch form factor sounds great, but more like the Galaxy Note 2 if that makes any sense? I’ve noticed that there are a lot of phones being produced or coming to market soon that resemble the elongated iPhone 5 which me personally I don’t care for. Like I’ve mentioned above, I have the Galaxy s3 but I also have the Galaxy Note 2 sitting at home without service. I like the Galaxy Note 2 and how it feels in my hand, I like the aspect ratio of the screen versus the iPhone 5’s elongated screen as well. Again I’ve been watching these phones from this website for several months now with anticipation but I hope that these phones at least some of them support CDMA technology. Since I’m only paying 35 dollars a month for unlimited everything on my phone plan I don’t see myself migrating away from that anytime soon and this is why I’m looking for a CDMA based phone with these fantastic specs.
Oh wow it’s a rounded corner black bar aka iphone clone!
