The all new Newman K1 has been busy this weekend posing for some pre-launch, hands-on spy photos.
The Newman K1 marks the return to Mediatek for a flagship Newman phone and in this case the 5-inch phone will be powered by a quad-core MT6589 processor running at 1.2Ghz. Like many other phone manufacturers, Newman have also packed the K1 with 2GB RAM, 32GB of built-in memory, 13 mega-pixel Sony rear camera, 2 mega-pixel front camera and SD card slot compatible with 64GB cards.

Newman have also opted for a larger 5-inch display on the K1, but rather than a full 1080 HD panel have gone for a lower resolution of 1280 x 720 giving 720HD. This stands out as a rather clever decision as many have concerns over the ability of the MT6589 running a full HD display, not to mention the price savings for using a 720display.
Currently the K1 is still in its testing phase and runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, but 4.2 is scheduled to be on the phone by the time of launch.
Pricing for the Newman K1 is still unconfirmed but we expect a price of around 1299 Yuan ($208).
