JiaYu G4 flip covers available at launch

JiaYu will be launching a range of covers and accessories with the JiaYu G4 when it finally arrives in May. Here’s a first look at the JiaYu G3 flip cover.

Just as the quad-coreG4 appears to be an upgrade in both hardware and quality over the G3, the accessories also look to be much better. At launch JiaYu plan to have a range of accessories to choose from for the G4 including additional batteries, screen protectors (although the phone has a Gorilla Glass display), rubber bumpers and these flip covers.

We imagine there will be some more subtle colour choices at launch, however we quite like the look of these bright green and blue padded options shown here. What is interesting is there is no clasp to secure the cover down, which could mean that the G4 uses a magnetic strip like the iPad Mini!

I’d like to see something like a rubber skin back cover giving some more protection on drops.

i’m not that confident, that jiayu doesn’t lie to their customers about gorilla glass, gg2 cause there is no mentioning of any jiayu on gg site.

I like the white G4 but the glossy back is uninspiring. Think i’ll be able to get the black back cover separately Andi?
Also,showing us more things we can’t buy yet is not a good strategy by JiaYu

  Given that marketing strategy i think that at least the youth version of G4 will be launched at May, as for the premium i’d say July
  if only the youth version had a more inviting battery life …

Eh, Andi. Those are actually looking like Cheese case style covers.
That has no relation with the magnetic iPad thing at all.
It’s just sticky tape that keeps it together. They use it for Chinese tablets and phones all the time and don’t worry, it isn’t as fragile as it sounds.

I’m sure there’s no magnetic strip like the iPad, but instead silica gel (or whatever it is called) just like it is found in UMI X1 flip cases.

what makes me wonder is that why there are so many people who wants this phone so badly. I mean why would you choose this phone instead of the iOcean X7, Neo N003 and UMi X2. They’re are in the same price category.

  I cannot speak for others but for me it’s because their design is different than others and stylish, Jiayu is also reliable and good at providing future android updates, has a huge community and I have had their product n service before so I know I can trust them
  Even with Jiayu’s delay, i’ll wait for it for 2 main reasons :
  1) I’m not in a hurry, I’m excited to get the phone but in no hurry, I can wait.
  2) Trust is something hard to come by when u buy a phone from China and Jiayu has earned my trust.

    Ya, so far I have received a faulty G2 and the company did replace a new one for me. So far it is working great! Jiayu is definitely a brand to look out for.
    The flip case look really nice, and in my favorite color too..

  The premiums version is about $50 cheaper version than all those, you do get 720p screen but that’s actually a plus for some people. Also, none of those are available yet.
