Quad-core JiaYu G3 Benchmarks are as good as the JiaYu G4!

Were as upset as you guys are about the JiaYu G4 delay, and now you’ll be as confused as we are when you see the amazing benchmarks the quad-core JiaYu G3 is scoring! Why buy a G4?

If you are currently waiting to be the youth version of the JiaYu G4 you might want to quit waiting until May where it was rescheduled to launch and take a serious look at the updated JiaYu G3!

The new JiaYu G3, available from the middle of this month, will boast the same 1.2Ghz quad-core MT6589 CPU as the JiaYu G4, what’s more it has 1GB RAM, a 720HD display, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and large 2750mAh battery! So technically the Youth G4 and quad-core G3 are very similar, so how about Antutu benchmarks?

A new thread on the official JiaYu forum answers that for us with screenshots of the new phone showing is score 12716 on version 3.2.2 of Antutu! Again practically identical to the youth version of the G4!

JiaYu haven’t commented on pricing yet, but we expect the MT6589 version of the JiaYu G3 to retail at 999 Yuan ($160) which will get you all of the above plus a 4.5-inch display, alloy body and 8 mega-pixel rear camera!

So which will you buy? Updated JiaYu G3 or Youth version of the JiaYu G4?

I think their marketing is pretty confusing. Quad core Jiayu G3 looks pretty nice and I don’t know if it’s worth waiting for Jiayu G4. But let’s wait see if Jiayu G3 will launch without any delays…

Even not photoshoped why the benchmarks from the “new” G3 to be lower than G4?
Both using same chipset so why (noticeable) different results?
The JiaYu marketing style is the poor I ever saw. Seems to be made by a lying child. I don’t remember any post from some Star “spy photos” but they released some time ago the quad-core version. Why? Because they have power and don’t need to fake some pictures to draw attention to themselves.
Will be great to see in Aliexpress stores selling the G3 for different prices and confusing people with some copy paste description. And some people ordering the quad-core but receiving the dual-core

  Xrain, it’s easy, I’ve two mobiles with mtk6577, a hero h2000+ and a I5, the I5 scores 1000 more than h2000+, it depends on the reading memory speed of micro sd card, micro sd mounted, or better rom

Its good qeustion but the 4G Basic isnt for my interesting with 1GB Ram is the same phone with other design like the new 3G but the Advanced 4G with 2GB Ram thats very interesting but i must look about the price when the 3G Quad have better price then 4G Basic i would be like to buy the 3G

I don’t know G3 has lower display resolution versus G4 but has same antutu score.

12716 is the score of the newer version of the G3 and the youth version of the G4 correct (both 1GB Ram)? But what is the antutu score of the G4 Advanced/Flagship? Or doesn’t a bigger Ram (2GB) lead to a higher score?

I personnaly don’t feel any interest anymore in too late phones.. Goophone n4 (S4 like) seems very appealing for me now.

It seems that Jiayu is trying to fool us. the images are photoshoped.
here is the proof, download images from source and check the properties.
In “details” tab you will see that it is edited in photoshop CS4 on 07-04-2013.
Also in the image above i am able to see two set of buttons ( home, back etc.)
