Xiaomi M2S full specifications more powerful than the Samsung Galaxy S4!

Xiaomi have done as we predicted and have launched an updated version of their flagshipphone named the Xiaomi M2S. 2 versions of the newphone will be available, full specifications and details after the jump.

We knew that Xiaomi would launch an updated version of the Mi2 but what we didn’t realise was that they would launch 2 versions of the updated Xiaomi M2S!

Like the Mi2 the M2S will start at 1999 Yuan for the 16GB version with prices increasing to 2299 Yuan for the 32GB model, but unlike the Mi2 there the two M2S phones will have different rear cameras. The 16GB version will continue to use the 2nd generation 8 mega-pixel rear camera while the 32GB model will receive an updated 13 mega-pixel rear camera!

Both Xiaomi M2S models are powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor running at 1,7Ghz which Xiaomi claims scores 25,913 on Antutu! They go on to say the that the M2S is more powerful than the flagshipSamsungGalaxy S4 which scores 25,446.

The rest of the phone seems to be very similar to the current Mi2 with 2GB RAM, and 4.3-inch 720p display. Strangely there is not mention of the M2S getting NFC like the cheaper M2A!

Xiaomi fans in Hong Kong and Taiwan will be happy to know that Xiaomi will launch the newflagshipphone in their regions and have set up new sites www.xiaomi.hk and www.xiaomi.tw.

Which is better UMI X2, Zopo ZP 980, Oppo find 5 or Xiaomi M2S? I personally feel that the 2 GB ram and Full HD screen is the clincher. Hence I think the toss will be between UMI X2, Oppo Find 5, Xiaomi M2S. Then there is always MMX which seems to upping the tempo with Nova which has Micromax Nova @15000, with Android 4.2.2 JellyBean 2.0 GHz dual core Intel Atom Clover Trail+ Z2580 2 GB RAM 4.8 inch full HD display 13 MP rear camera, 2 MP front camera Full HD

    Thanks for the comment Jorge! You can see from the question itself that I have researched all three and I felt that I was unable to distinguish one point where one model can be a winner. You can also see varied sites giving different views. Hence I concluded that someone who knows more about these can help me. Guess, I was wrong in asking a question here. We have experts to give advice and I took this forum considering the same. Guess, I was wrong in this as well. Bye

How the hell is it more powerful then a Snapdragon based SGS4?
It’s got a Snapdragon S600 running at 1.7ghz and only a 720p screen.
SGS4 = 1.9ghz and 1080p screen so of course the M2S gets a better benchmark score since the screen is only 720p using the same GPU as in the SGS4 (which has to push 1080p)
Good pricing though but good luck in actually finding one for that price and in large numbers.
By the time you find one online months from now, No doubt it would be around $500 due to greedy price markups. Much like the Xioami M2 and Muizu phones.

  Its marked up to $420(ibuygou.com) but still this is quite overpriced. don’t think you’ll get it much cheaper unless of course you are lucky enough to actually go to China and buy One right from the store.

Hey Andi, i live in NYC and i recently bought a dual sim phone from China. it detects my sim and even shows me my ph # but its not picking up any network signal. what can be done ? The phone model is the GT-N7100 （NOTE 2 CLONE）PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN.

  Is dual sim really that important? I can’t think why one would want that, though I’ve never owned a smartphone so perhaps I’m missing something. What would you use dual sim for?

    Overseas sim + home sim (when you are working abroad)
    Phone sim + data-only sim
    There are many different combinations you can use it, especially if it reduces it from carrying two different phones to one.
