More Pioneer S90W specification details, plus built in audio apps and pricing details.
Later this month the Pioneer S90W will officially go on sale in Chinese electronics store Suning. This will enable the flagship, quad-core device to be easily bought offline across China, which is a rare feature in itself.
The S90W is Pioneer’s flagship mobile phone for China, and will come bundled with a host of great audio-centric apps including a virtual DJ studio plus Dolby enhanced audio. Those apps, plus anything you wish to choose to download from the Google Play store, are accessed by a large 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720.
Gizchina News of the week
Under the large screen and stylish 8.4mm body beats the quad-core heart of the Mediatek MT6589 processor, with 1GB RAM and 8GB of built-in memory, which we assume can be expanded on with an external SD card. A 2 mega-pixel front camera takes care of video chats while the 8 mete-pixel rear should please all but the most picky of smartphone customers.
Other features include a 2000mAh battery and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Priced at 1999 Yuan ($320) the Pioneer S90W is higher than similar phones, but coming from a big brand and ease of availability should all buy make up for this.
What can I do with $320 regarding a smartphone:
– buy the S90W and keep it for at least 2 years
– this year to buy the latest MT6589 with about $210, selling it next year for $100 and next year to buy another new released smartphone for $210
Same money, newest products.
In these days when technology is moving so fast I don’t want to stuck with something old just because I spent a lot of money sometime ago
The actual Mediatek chinese no-name spartphones for under $200 can resist 1 year and more without problems if that smartphone was good from the first day. After 1-2 years the technology is old so is easy for me to buy the latest invention.
Nothing new, nothing special for me from Pioneer. Maybe at $230 I can think about it.
It’s a brand/status symbol. Why you might wear Nike shoes instead of something from Kmart, even though you don’t go running in them.
will it be available also at suning hong kong?
