THL’s quad-core, 5-inch flagship phone has been sometime coming, but officials from the company say the wait is almost over and plan to launch the THLW8 Youth at the start of May.
The announcement that THL have decided to launch a Youth version of the quad-core THLW8 is both a blessing and a worry. On one hand it means that more customers will now be able to afford the high-end THL phone, but on the other it suggests THL are also have problems getting the phone to accept 2GB RAM!

Like the UMi X2 and premium versions of the Neo N003 and JiaYu G4, the THLW8 was meant to launch with a quad-core MT6589 CPU and 2GB RAM, however the news that a Youth model will also go on sale and know announcement of the Premium versions launch suggests they THL have ran in to issues!
The THLW8 Youth should go on sale ahead of the Chinese May holiday (the start of the month) and will feature a 5-inch 720p display, quad-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 4GB ROM, 8 mega-pixel camera and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Pricing is yet to be announced but we expect it will be higher tan similar phones, possibly around 1499 Yuan ($241).
