Chinese phone maker planning 5.6mm Android phone

Chinese phone makers seem to be obsessed with making the thinnest phones on the market, just last week news of the 6.18mm Huawei P6-U06 was all over the headlines now rumours of a 5.6mm phone have appeared!

Gizchina News of the week

The phone shown in the rendering here has been designed as an OEM model, but sources suggest that UMeox could be the first to launch the 5.6mm phone as the UMeox X5. If this is the case then European phone fans might be able to get hold of the phone under the Thomson brand.

It’s not clear what hardware this phone is running however we can assume a quad-core CPU of some sort will be included, while the overall dimensions 118 x 60 x 5.6mm suggests a screen size of around 4-inch.

What do you guy’s think of super thin smartphones?
