GooPhone, the notorious phoneclone masters have launched their Xiaomi M2s inspired GooPhone X7 for $250 and looking at the specs this phone packs a punch!
We have seen the GooPhone X7 in the past, but when we originally reported on the phone it was known as the GooPhone M2s. Other than a name change the excellent hardware remains the same and at $250 it’s a rather attractive phone.
Gizchina News of the week
At this price there are a number of rival phones (iOcean X7, Neo N003 and UMi X2 to name a few) so GooPhone have made sure the X7 can compete with the best by designing the phone around a quad-core MT6589 CPU with 1GB RAM running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. A 5-inch 1080p display has also been included, and as this is an MTK based phone it supports dual SIM standby and a SD card to expand the 4GB of built-in ROM.
[komper pid=74 compareform=no]The GooPhone X7 is on sale in China for 1350 Yuan and internationally for $247 on Chinese reseller site Lightake.
I am not impressed at all – its battery + 1 gb ram = poor.
and the battery cant be long life with 1080p screen.
I’d say that the main drabacks of the phone are 1.- Battery, 2.- PRICE, make it $50 cheaper as final retail price and it will be ok. However, since this is most likely price for china, price for international buyers would probably get as high as $300. So not worth it!
