Chinese phablets are not only gaining in size but also in resolution, overall specification and design! Take this OEM phone known simply as the i6000 which packs a 6.5-inch 1080 display into a stunning design!
As you can probably imagine we receive a lot of emails from Chinese OEM’s promoting their latest phones. Usually the devices they are speaking about our low-end or, terribly overpriced, but now and again we come across a diamond in the rough.
Chinese phone and phablet maker Actwell are trying to drum up OEM orders for the i6000 phablet, and judging from the hardware they are listing it won’t take them long to get the orders!
Gizchina News of the week
The main selling point of the phone is the large 6.5-inch display which has an amazing resolution of 1920 x 1080! From what we know this could be the largest 1080 phablet being marketed! Powering the phone is a quad-core MT6589 processor, there is a 13 mega-pixel camera on the rear, plus all the usual GPS, Wifi ETC are all packed into the 9.5mm thick body!
As for the exterior, in our opinion it is one of the best looking Chinese phablets we have every seen! the rear looks a lot like the HTC One X with a bit of Nubia Z5 styling thrown in which the front gets narrow borders, a physical home button and a rather nice oblong design.
We’ve reached out to Actwell to see if they can give us some idea of pricing and possible real photos of the phone and hope to hear from them very soon.
It look nice !!
Too bad those OEM phones are almost always a clone, looking very much like the galacy note from samsung
Yeah I agree. Its disappointing to see. Quite a few of these companies now have the expertise and quality control to release some decent devices they really need to stop the with the clone styling.
Even companies like Jiayu who are more established and have more of a fan base insist on making clone like devices for example the G5
Please, first the specs, then the looks. Does this phab have dual SIM, at least 32GB SD-card and HDMI? And can we use the front camera in a Skype video call? Do you a link to their website?
Interesting. Let’s wait for final specs…
