Lorne has a done a stunning job with his MiZ Z3 hands on video review and even treats us to a comparison of his new Chinese phablet vs the older Samsung Galaxy Note 1! Great details and a through in-depth review!

really nice review
Great to see some comparisons with the mainstream Android phones.
Totally agree! An excellent hands on video!
The pen exactly run like the active pen of Samsung Note II? The pen button? Can you share a video of pen use (ex. with Papyrus)? Thank you.
No Pdm, the pen is a simple capacitive touch one that emulates a fingers touch – It works decently in quill however the end of it is a little hollow rubber ball that tends to bend and stretch so writing with it is difficult. It is really just a finger tip replacement.
Thanks guys, I had fun making it – My Galaxy note was dying so after trying multiple roms from XDA (Paranoid Android, ASOP, the Collective, Black Star, etc etc) I decided to go ahead and just replace it. After much searching for what I was after and checking out Gizchina regulary I decided on the MIZ Z3 as it checked off almost all the boxes. Plus for the money it comes with a good amount of accessories, the batteries last a full day easily as well.
I’m not sure if you know this but Samsung shorts 2 pins in its chargers, so if you use an OEM charger, even with a quick charge rom you only get 1/2 speed charging. Sometimes the phone will actually drain faster than it charges when connected to the mains!
If you have any questions on this phone please feel free to leave me a comment here or youtube. The only real downside is the radios, this phone is quad band 2g which in Canada is only supported by Rogers (chatr, fido, 7-11 speakout and petro canada) which makes it a pretty decent phone but not so much for data as it only supports 2g EDGE which is 10/15kb/sec. I am almost always near wifi so that isn’t a problem, and I’m saving a bundle of cash monthly not having a data plan anyways. I do wish it had HDSPA+ or LTE then I would have been able to really use it to its full potential, as it stands now it is a great price/performance replacement that didn’t break the bank.
Congrats first of all that you own the phone.
Great Video,
