Yesterday news of Meizu’s entry-level “Blue Charm” phone hit the headlines, and today its the turn of the Meizu MX3.
The leaked photo, posted on Sina Weibo, shows a current generation Meizu MX2 with 4.4-inch display sat next to what Chinese tech sites are saying is the next generation Meizu MX3 with 5-inch+ display (right).
A closer look at the phone shows that it is running Flyme 3.0, Meizu’s buggy rom based on Android, and appears to have amazingly thin 1-2mm bezels.
Gizchina News of the week
But it all looks a little wonky to us. The display on the ‘MX3’ doesn’t look to be running parallel with the rest of the phone having us believe that this photo is nothing more than a fan made hoax.
Further reports claim the prototype Meizu MX3 is codenamed M055, the 5 hinting at either a 5-inch display or possible a 5.5-inch 1080 display. A Samsung Exynos 5410 8-core chip and 13 mega-pixel rear camera make up the rest of the highlights.
Whether this is fake or not we should learn a little more to what Meizu are planning around 9th July.
May be its Blue Charm, not MX2?
8-cores is overkill at the moment.
Its always a 4 core Active at same time processor.
So no, its not overkill.
“A Samsung Exynos 5410 8-core chip”
surly fake, Samsung is facing shortage of this chip for their own mobile development….
MX3 is likely due Jan 1st, so plenty of time
