TCL and Alcatel may have teamed up to launch a range of high end MTK equipped Android smartphones, but it looks to us TCL have been keeping the best for themselves and will soon launch an updated Idol X with 2GB RAM and Turbo MT6589T CPU!
The Alcatel Idol X launched earlier this year and really became a hit due to it’s affordable price, great styling and excellent hardware. Well if you thought the Alcatel version of the Idol X was good you’re going to love the TCL model even more!
Gizchina News of the week
TCL have taken the Idol X and made it their own with a 5-inch 1080 display, 2GB RAM, 1.5Ghz quad-core MT6589Tprocessor and 13 mega-pixel rear camera all wrapped up in a light-weight 120g, 6.99mm body with 1.75mm bezels!
The whole phone looks great with the only possible downside being that the battery is a non replaceable unit. The TCLIdol X will launch later in the year and will be available in similar bright colors as the Alcatel variant.
Nice. It could be a cheaper alternative to Alcatel’s models.
Any word on the pricing?
1.75mm bezel……..!!!!! That’s just incredible, hope they don’t price it on par with HTC one or Samsung Galaxy S4………..
It’s an MTK phone, they wont. They can do slimmer bezels, but they’re saving them for when there’s no more features you can advertise.
