Later today in London, Huawei will eventually unveil the 6.5mmHuaweiAscend P6, but as always we don’t need to wait for the official announcement as HuaweiAscendP6 hands on photos have already been posted!
At this point there really isn’t much to say about the HuaweiAscendP6 which hasn’t already said, or already been seen in previous leaks and reports.
The P6 shown here is a white model and features the narrow body with curved base we have seen many times before.
The iPhone 5 style sides appear to be made of some sort of alloy and features SIM card and SD card trays, volume toggle and power button all along the right hands side.
Gizchina News of the week
A micro USB sits at the top of the phone, while the 3.5mm headphone jack lives in the bottom left-hand corner.
An all alloy back has a laser etched Huawei logo, and we can also see the 8 mega-pixel rear camera and LED Flash. Both the front 5 mega-pixel camera and rear shorter support 1080p video capture.
While we speaking about the specification the screen is a 4.7-inch 720p resolution panel with a pixel density of 312ppi, a 1.5Ghz quad-core Huawei K3V2 processor powers the phone along with 2GB RAM and 8GB of built-in storage (there is also space for a 32GB SD card) 2000mAh battery, and Android 4.2 with Emotion UI 1.6.
We still don’t have a clue how much Huawei are hoping to sell the 120g P6 for, but it is likely going up against the Xiaomi Mi2S! We’ll keep our eyes on the official launch incase there are any further developments.

That 3rd photo says a lot of limits of thinness for future phones. Even if they can make them thinner, they can go much smaller and still get a headphone jack in there! So, somewhere around 6mm may the thinnest we’ll ever see, until bluetooth audio improves and the headphones become more widely used…
how thin do you think they can go and still use 3.5?
I was also thinking again about what I said about an adapter (below). Any adapter smaller than 3.5mm would run the risk of breaking, or bending. I’m no expert, but unless they use different alloys/materials to make an adapter, that will be probably an issue.
opps.. my mouth was in motion before my mind was in gear :p
they can always make the headphone jack smaller than 3.5 mm and use an adapter, Duh
or, you know, different form of jack altogether.. with pins perhaps.. kinda reminds me of sony ericsson early 2000 handsets
Huawei K3V2 has very bad GPU 🙁 it’s sad, phone looks great. processor’s killing it.
dear andi if you given a choice to choose between umi x2 and zopo zp980. which one you will pik please answer am in big confusion. and why will you choose that
Soes, i have the same question from Chandu??
@Chandu: tu chandu hi reh gaya yaar….
This is question probably is out of this topic, you might want to post it under Umi X2 review.
I think Andi/others would have exact answer.
But Andi has also created a compare tool which can be used to compare
https://www.gizchina.com/compare-chinese-phones/
I am not sure if its upto date.
My thoughts on some options for buyers in India (i am not an expert though)
1. If so you might want to wait for few days to know what is Micromax Canvas 4 going to look like.
2. If you are planning to import from China there are more options now. But very difficult to choose. You might need to wait for reviews to come up on those. So be around here in GizChina a wonderful site to get a tons of information.
3. If you plan to import you might need to pay higher price.
4. You can go for Nexus 4 or Samsung S3
I think we shld also wait for the Karbon S6 (especially if u want a stylus!).
+1 on waiting also for S6
On the Ascend P6 topic i think it looks good.
5 MP is still ok – The quality of the camera would matters more.
At least from the past K3V2 did not compete well with Snapdragan S4 so not sure if it can be compared with Mi2S.
am extreamly sorry for askng the above question here. but i needed quick respond so askd. plz reply andi
