While the rest of the world can buy the Alcatel One Touch Idol X for $300, Chinese customers can now buy it as the TCLIdol X for just $277 with an updated 1.5Ghz chipset!
TCL (the manufacturers of Alcatel phones here in China) and China’s E-commerce giant Jingdong Mall (formally 360buy) have teamed up to launch the exclusive TCLIdol X here in China.
If you’re familiar with the Alcatel One Touch Idol X, you will already notice that the TCL version uses the same design and even packs the same hardware, which is all impressive stuff considering the low-price tag.
Gizchina News of the week
The business end of the phone boasts a 5-inch OGS, 1080 display with 1.75mm narrow bezels to keep the Idol X at a comfy size. Speaking of size the TCLIdol X measures just 6.99mm, however this has limited the battery to just a 2000mAh unit!
Other hardware highlights include an updated 1.5Ghz quad-core Mediatek MT6589T processor with faster GPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB built-in memory, 13 mega-pixel rear camera and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS!
Jingdong Mall started selling the TCLIdol X yesterday and are shipping the phone with a flip cover which features a window so you can see notifications and weather info without having to open it.
Where I can buy Alcatel for 300$ ?
I search, search, and search, but don’t find anything
My thought (based on what i have seen so far) if the phone cost is 277 USD do not expect it to get at 300 USD. Reseller charges more.
E.g. Xiaomi Mi2 was 320USD but was sold at over 400 USD.
You might want to check in Aliexpress too there might be some little discounts at times. But clear things out with seller before you pay.
