Xiaomi also planning to launch $160 Xiaoami Pad Android Tablet?

This evening’s latest rumour is that Beijing based phone maker Xiaomi are planning to launch a Xiaomi Pad Android tablet later this year!

If current rumours are true we can expect at least 2 new Xiaomi phones, a Xiaomi smart TV, Xiaomi Laptop and now a Xiaomi Android tablet all to launch on August 16th!

China’s tech community are all a buzz tonight as reports that Xiaomi are working on the 米pad (mi pad) spread. According to the details the Mi Pad will launch on August 16th, will feature a 7-inch display and cost just 999 Yuan ($160) on the Chinese mainland.

If Xiaomi are able to work their low-cost, high-performance magic on the tablet market, the TVmarket and the PC market, the still young start-up could quickly become a global player!

keep up the gut work! the price is what makes the difference, we can get other brand with the same specs but not for the same affordable-magical price…
if they go global please keep the “low-cost, high-performance magic”…..if they can, they could conquer the world!!! =)

keep up the gut work! the price is what makes the difference, we can get other brand with the same specs but not for the same affordable-magical price…

all that specs for just $160, wake up man!
i think they dont have to rush in launching a tablet, why not wait for intel to release baytrail? in tel stated that they will push the price of baytrail powered tablets to as low as $199, that means the baytrail chip itself is not expensive….why not use it fo xiaomi mipad??? intels dualcore clovertrail proccessor is known for its great performance (comparable to arm’s and nvidia’s quadcore) plus the battery life is awesome….
