Rumours of a Mediatek equipped Sony Android smartphone have been doing the rounds for sometime, now new reports give us some details of the new phone.
Gizchina News of the week
According to sources in Taiwan, the low-cost Sony CN3 will be sport a 1.2Ghz MT6589 quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 5-inch 1280 x 720 display and run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The most exciting piece of news though is the prices of the CN3 which is alleged to be less than 2000 Yuan ($320).
The Sony CN3 is likely to support dual SIM, Micro SD card and have either an 8 or 13 mega-pixel rear sensor (natually a Sony unit).
There is no release date scheduled yet, but the Sony CN3 is expected to launch in just a few monte and will likely be styled on the current Xperia line.
i hope the design would be same as the xperia z and zl. That would be a steal. 🙂
This is awesome news as I was holding out to see what big brand would make a mediatek powered dual sim phone. I’ll definitely order this one, should it really exist.
And if they use the Dual Active feature which the SoC supports it’ll surely rock! 😀
Actually Motorola used mtk6577 @ 1.2ghz in a model sold in Brazil. Motorola razr d3, gorilla glass, nfc and bsi camera
Any chance for indian market.

We won’t know 100% before launch
