Leaked photo could show us the 6-inch iOcean X8

Chinese phone maker iOcean don’t beat around the bush, and have already leaked a photo of their next generation Android phablet!

The iOcean X7 Elite, quad-core, 1080 phone with 2GB RAM, launched just yesterday and only hours later a photo of what claims to be their all new phone has been posted on Weibo! Sat next to the 5-inch iOcean X7, the new phone (possibly iOcean X8) has a much more rounded profile, appears narrower and has a larger screen size!

Gizchina News of the week

Details are still sketchy but the display is rumoured to measure 6-inch and be a laminated OGS unit, possibly even sporting a FHD resolution of 1920 x 1080!

We’ll keep our eyes on iOcean to see what they have planned for their next generation handset.

6 inch and more is way to big for a phone imho: i’d rather buy a tablet instead! after all, i know that they won’t fit in my pocket 😛

    Hi,

Fear not … I have been using a 6 inch phone for nearly 2 years. I bought if from Chinavasion and it fits my jacket pockets fine.

I had fears that it would be ‘left behind’ in the Android OTA updating process; but, although it has stayed at 4.03, the phone has never missed a beat and It runs many dozens of apps today without a blink.

I strongly recommend the current trend towards 6 INCH PLUS phones and particularly for Sat-Nav in the car

Co Pilot Live Premium is AWESOME !

Bigger the better if u end up reading impromptu at an airport, coffee shop, train, etc a lot. Movies on a flight are great on a phablet.

6 inch… Come on, it is way too big.. bigger then.. hmm.. You understand 😉
It will not fit well in a purse, in pant’s pocket, Your hand will hurt You after grabbing it around for a hour or two.
But, if it rains You could use it as an umbrela, especialy if it is water resistant IP60+ 🙂
No. 5 inch I consider maximum for a decent “phone”
