WP8 Huawei Ascend W2 officially showcased in China


The WP8 Huawei Ascend W2 was originally seen back in May, then again in colourful renders, but finally the real phone has been unveiled here in China.

The sub $300 WP8 handset offers users a 4.3-inch 800 x 480 display powered by a 1.4Ghz dual-core Qualcomm MSM82230 chipset, 512mb RAM and Adreno 305 graphics. The brightly coloured phone also boasts an 8 mega-pixel rear camera 8GB of built in storage and room for a micro SD card.

Measuring in at 134 x 66.7 x 9.9mm the removable rear shell gives user access to the replaceable 1700mAh battery and single SIM card bay. The W2 will be making it’s way on to China Mobile here in China, but could also be launched in Europe and India later this year.
