Intel powered ZTE Geek receives network license in China

The Intel powered ZTE Geek first turned up back in April, but has only just been given the official green light from the Chinese equivalent of the FCC.

While the phone is powered by a 2Ghz Intel Atom Z2580 Clover Trail+ processor, the overall package is more like a mid range phone rather than a powerful flagship beast like the Lenovo K900.

The phone will feature a 5-inch 1280 x 720 display, 1GB RAM, 1 mega-pixel front camera, 8 mega-pixel rear, 2300mAh battery and run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. With that specification in mind we should see a launch price of around 2400 Yuan ($390) one it goes on sale in China.
