Newman K2 specifications leaked!

Leaked Newman K2specifications give us full details of what to expect and look forward to from Newman’s first 1080, quad-core phone!

Newman are quite consistent with their leaks. They wait until a phone has been compleltey developed and then only start to feed the internet with ‘spy’ photos and ‘leaked’ specifications just before they plan to launch. So we can expect to see the Newman K2 in the next few weeks but what are the specifications?

It’s no surprise that there will be two versions of the Newman K2 available, a K2 Basic and K2 Advanced.

Both models will measure 153 x 78 x 9.8mm, get a fully laminated 5.5-inch display with a FHD resolution of 1920 x 1080, 1.5Ghz quad-core MT6589T processor, 5 mega-pixel front and 13 mega-pixel rear cameras, 3000mAh battery and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The only differences will be the Basic will get 1GB RAM and 16GB of built in memory while the Newman K2 advanced will have 2GB RAM and 32GB memory.

Pricing is likely to start from 1499 Yuan ($244 in China) with a launch date just around the corner!

with this price now i dont want umi x2 anymore…and DGAF if it has gorilla glass or no…or maybe i will wait for some nice 5.7″ 😀

How about the GPS, Andi?
as we know, the newman k1 is well-known for it’s GLONASS GPS (one of the few MTK phones that has it).
I assume this k2 sports the same thing.. am i right?

I’m guessing the K2 will be launched before the N3, i’m sure they will both be great, whichever one people decide to buy.

  If the N3 comes with the Samsung Octa core processor like it’s rumored to, and is lower than 350$, my money is definitely going to the N3. Also hoping that the N3 has at least a 3000mAh battery, 2GB RAM, 32GB ROM, Expandable storage, a good 13MP camera (or higher, remember N2? 13MP rolling on it before the number was even mainstream on smartphones), better speakers and a nice design, like the black w/ red highlights Andi leaked a picture not a while ago.

How about the GPS, Andi?

Nice , what kind of protection newman uses for their displays ? I noticed on specifications the Laminated Protection, is this similar to gorilla glass protection ???

while the MT6589T cpu is great with the higher clock speed, the single core gpu will still heavily bottleneck this would be great phone (or any other phones with similar specs). the 1080p will bog down heavy 3D graphics performance even more too.
