The ZTE U988S Android smartphone has just received its Network License here in China, so what do we know about this Tegra 4 powered Xiaomi Mi3 rival?
Xiaomi have had a good few years to soak up the limelight and really take over the Android phone market here in China, but the next few months aren’t going to be as easy as they have been in the past for the Beijing based phone maker!
Chinese phone giant ZTE have just received its network license for the ZTE U988S, a phone rumoured to be powered by a 1.8Ghz Tegra 4 quad-core processor, pack a 5-inch 1080 display, 2GB RAM and cost just 1999 Yuan ($320)! That’s got to sting a bit as the next generation Xiaomi is rumoured to have a similar specification and is also expected to launch at the magical 1999 Yuan price point.
