A white version of the 5.6mm Umeox X5 has been spotted with rumours of an August launch date.
The 5.6mm thick Umeox X5 is no stranger to GizChina, but this is the first time the ultrathin phone has been see by us in white. The 118 x 60 x 5.6mm phone is rumoured to go on sale in August and will be available in China and Europe (under the Thomson brand).
Gizchina News of the week
The X5 is an unusual handset for todays market as it will be powered by a 1Ghz CPU, have an OLED display, dual 5 mega-pixel cameras, no LED flash and no 3.5mm headphone jack!
Pricing is yet to be revealed.

1Ghz + 5mpx + 1gb ram (probably) = kinda outdated?
“under thomson brand”—>So Umeox is a TCL brand? Like Alcatel. This company is huge and I just heard of them for a month.
An interesting article would be to compose a kinda “brand tree” where we would see what Chinese brands belong to which parent company.
That would make a very interesting read and future reference.
