Leaked specifications of the Xiaocai X9 show two versions of the phone will launch with the Advanced version boasting a 4.5-inch 1080FHD display!
Android phone fans have been calling out for manufacturers to launch small screen phones with higher specifications, and while the performance side of these smaller handsets is usually very good, screen resolution doesn’t match their larger counterparts!
Gizchina News of the week
Chinese phone maker Xiaocai could be set to change that with their upcoming Xiaocai X9 quad-core smartphone. According to leaked specifications 2 versions of the X9 will go on sale with the top-of-the-range model coming with a 1920 x 1080 OGS FHD panel! The rest of the specs are very impressive too with a 1.5Ghz quad-core MT6589T chipset, 2GB RAM and 32 GB memory being the stand-out features!
Pricing is said to start at 888 Yuan ($144) for the basic X9 with 1.2Ghz CPU, 1GB RAM and QHD display which the 1080 version could cost as little as 1099 Yuan ($178).

Not again, I just need 2GB of ram and 720p, topped with fairy AOSP inside…
If I want 1080p, no reason to not buying one with 5inch display.
You are like me.
I’m also looking for 2GB ram and 720p. Currently you can have the Huawei G700 (6589) and the Jiayu G4 advanced (6589T). Tha later is still in presell.
One other serious option is the battery. I’d really like the Lenovo P780 to have 2GB ram. It would be the perfect phone for me because of the build quality.
