THL Monkey King 2 to feature 4G LTE support

THL have released design sketches of the Monkey King 2 along with details that it will support 4G LTE networks.

THL are quickly becoming the Chinese brand to watch for innovation and style, and in our opinion are quickly becoming a more exciting brand than Zopo who appear to be stuck in an innovative rut!

The recent launch of the Monkey King with dual 13 mega-pixel cameras set the standard for THL and the 2nd generation Monkey King 2 promises to build on this with 4G LTE support and possibly an 8-core Mediatek processor.

Gizchina News of the week

As you can see from the design artwork, the new Monkey King model goes back to the traditional rounded design of previous THL phones but features a much narrower screen edge than seen before.

We don’t expect to see the Monkey King 2 on sale before the end of this year, however we do believe that new and exciting THL models will launch before 2014.

Does anynone in here have THL W11 Monkey King? I am interested in buying one so I need actual user reviews urgently. The reviews on youtube and internet are all coming from resellers which can be biased.

Just laid my hands on a 32gb/2gb monkey king. So far the phone is performing up to my expectation. As I have purchased this phone in China, I have rooted it and added in Google play support. Battery can last me easily for a day or more as I do not play games on my phone which is why I think a MTK chipset is sufficient for me. Phone is fast and snappy.

However, the 13mp camera is not exactly great and it’s more of a marketing gimmick.
