Neo N003 will ship to customers on August 8th, will you buy it?

We haven’t been following the Neo N003 saga very closely as the delays and changes were getting a little annoying, however for those Chinese customers still waiting for the phone the wait may finally be over.

Originally the Neo N003 was set to launch on June 25th, which was already much later than rival phone manufacturers had launched their phones. The date came and went without the phone arriving and news was quickly released claiming a processor upgrade was the reason for delay.

5 weeks on and Neo are now claiming that they will finally launch the Neo N003 tomorrow (8th August) complete with a leather case, OTG cable and screen protector offered as a kind of belated launch day gift. Unfortunately only the low-end N003 will launch meaning it will have just 1GB RAM and 4GB memory!

No word on when the 2GB RAM, 32GBmemory version of the Neo N003 will go on sale. Are any GizChina readers still waiting for the N003? Is it really worth waiting for this phone when 8-core Chinese phones are just on the horizon?

I can only say that Neo lost me as a customer. I liked this phone from the start, but I waited too long, and phone was expected to come up with Umi X2, iOcean X7, Jiayu G4 … Their premium versions are already on the market, and Neo has just started shipping the 1 GB version! It is shameful! Company only lost thereby. Surely there will be many customers, but I will not be one of them. Everyone learns from their mistakes. I am expecting Xiaomi Mi3 🙂

I just want 5″ FHD, OTG, MHL, 2gb/32gb, 13MP camera, and 3000mAh battery… so far no phones from China really offer all those features except the N003… however the delays upon delays means the 14000-ish antutu score will now be considered fairly paltry when the damn thing is finally available.

I’ve still got my order on the Ultimate edition and I’ve already told the company that I will pull my order if I dont have it shipped by the end of the month. I’ve already been waiting over 2 months now and the appeal has totally waned off me. Probably use the amount to go towards a Note 3 later..

I was in love with this phone from the start but I am starting to piss off. In the beginning Neo N003 was declared lowest cost of 4-cores but it increased it’s priced gradually. 2 months ago preorder price of advanced version was around 250$, now it is above $300 on a par with others. What is going on Neo? Are you lost your mind?
Anyone made a business with mtkmall.com before? I come across with this site and as far as I know they give lowest cost advanced version. But I am not sure about their reliability. Any thoughts?

  Just in case you didn’t notice, they make a lot of promises, but in the end they can’t deliver jack sh!t. All those features that they quote are just fantasy BS. The phone doesn’t exist and it probably never will, this year. Other companies, like Oppo and even Jiayu are already introducing other new models, or in Jiayu case planning new models that will be released next year, and Neo just do a lot of TALKING, but there is no product to sell. All those nice features are just hype, but…..

Doesn’t matter at all, since this phone lacking UMTS/W-CDMA/HSPA+ 850, 1700+2100, 1900 MHz, it is useless over here anyway.

I have serious doubts about tomorrow ‘release’. Have been waiting for N003 since January, but now… I just don’t care. Looked on all these drilling, scratching, bending tests, continuous promises,dropped release dates, buttons with no backlit … Really, if they would actually release it in March, May, June or before vacation in July, I’d buy it. But now… No way! I’ve seen all this G4-shit, and not ready to go through all of it again with Neo.
p.s. Will take, probably, anything on Z3770 with 8″ retina display.
And, preferably, before October, 1.

I even pre-ordered G4 in February (shame on me), then decided to wait for something like Neo cuz G4 was constantly being postponed. Recently ended up with Z5 mini. My 5 cents – if chineese company says they will launch in a month – be sure it will take over half year. So better buy from the models currently in the market.

I definitely would have changed my mind on the Neo if it wasn’t for the fact that i have been gauranteed the youth for the original price of £120 .I am lucky that i am in no rush for a new phone but neo really have lost a lot of reputation over the delays and false promises they must have made to the suppliers.

Neo it’s a joke!!!!! I’ve watching this phone for more than 4 months and they were not able to release this phone!!!!!!! I have choosen Green Orange N1 Super!!!! It’s more expensive and have less cool features than Neo, but it’s available!!!!!!!!!

Well i have yet to see any reports of someone getting theirs. No unboxing videos or youtube vids other than the pre released model. I would asume that neo have ballsed up again.
