Finally the Neo N003 has gone on (limited) release across China, and is now showing up on sale on some online resellers.
The Neo N003 is one of those phones which could have stolen the market away from other handsets such as the UMi X2, iOcean X7, FAEA F2 and others. Unfortunately Neo managed to launch the phone at the same time most companies are leaking details of their next gen 8-core phones!
Gizchina News of the week
Still it is great to see that Neo have finally launched the phone even if the current version is the 1GB RAM model with only 4GB ROM! Still it does have a 5-inch 1080 display, 1.5Ghz MT6589T processor, 13 megapixel camera and built in MHL and OTG support.
For those of you still interested in buying a Neo N003 basic it can be ordered online for $218.98 from Chinapadmall.
Will this work on 3G 850? The info in Chinapadmall is “3G: WCDMA 2100MHz”, but according to McBub it works on “3G: WCDMA 850/2100MHz”
+1 to this question. Please confirm for us, Gizchina with either the manufacturer or get a demo unit and run the Mediatek engineering mode. Thanks!!
according to the official specs on the official companies website, it doesnt support 850, only 2100
Please Andy, launch a special topic for Val, about 850 wdcma available phones, or he will pollute all the next topics …
Always funny to see how many people don’t take the time to read the technical specs 🙂 Perhaps have we here a market of some smartphone buying assistance services 😉
Actually, there has been examples of which the Official specs have been wrong – some models stating “850 or 900” support only turns out to be 2100. Or “2100” turning out to have 850 as well.
Considering the original states specs of the Neo from 3 months ago was to include 850, it would be nice to know if it is indeed supported. Its not because people CANNOT READ or look things up. It is confirmation.
