As the current owner of one, I can’t agree more. Those large pixels hurt my eyes :\

Im very sad for reading people is agree with useless things that costs millions to develop just for being a tecnology pros…
People really does not know the human eyes limit?
it is very sad, because of those people companies will start to launch phones with those panels just to be cool and to make cpu and gpu mad just for that high resolution.

But those “pros” will not mind, as long as they can use their mobile from 5cm away.

Wasted on a phone but could be most welcome on a Virtual reality device.

Andi, do you really find 1280 x 720 lacking?

    • August 21, 2013

Nope not really, but as the Mi3 will have a 1080 thats where I’ll be heading

    WOW! That’s 534 ppi
By my calculation, a person with an average eyesight will need to hold the phone 6 Inches Away to notice any real difference between normal 1080p Displays and this one.
BTW People only use their phone that close for 15% of the Time.
Also only 8% of the Android apps are optimized for 1080p Phones and 2% 1440p Tablets

    3.3″ > 3.6″ > 4.0″ > 4.7″ > 5.0″ > 5.5″ > ??? < 7" < 10"

Mobile phones slowly becoming tablets, very bad development. I think 4" / 4.5" is the perfect size for a MOBILE phone and I'd much rather see a full hd 4" screen.

Vote with your wallet. i.e. don’t buy oversized piece of slab, sony is reportedly making mini phone with super spec, buy that instead to send signal to manufacturers.

like FHD on 5inch phone it’s marketing. It will juste decrease the battery life of the phone and increase the price.
And all pc screens wait for a such resolution too.

I think the best size is 5-5.5Inch and FHD is more than enough..just a battery bigger than 3000-5000mAh, Thats all we need
