It seems like only yesterday when we were getting excited about 4.5-inch 720p HD phones with 1GB RAM and 8 mega-pixel rear cameras! Actually it was just last year! 12 months ago we were looking at phones like the JiaYu G3 and UMi X1 with watering mouths, now phones with those specs are classed as entry-level devices!

Today’s Chinese Android smartphones boast up to 1920 x 1080 displays, quad-core processors, 13 mega-pixel rear cameras, increasing screen sizes and of course 2GB RAM! And it is this last point which we are going to concentrate on today with our list of top Chinese Android phones with 2GB RAM!

Top 10 2GB RAM Chinese Android Phones

As with most of our ‘top’ and ‘best of’ lists, this list is in no particular order and each model on here, old and new, boasts top-notch features!

Voto X2

The more keen-eyed of you will notice that the Voto X2 looks a lot like the UMi X2 Turbo, well that is because they are actually the same phone. The Voto X2 comes in either black or white and either an affordable 1GB RAM 16GB memory option or top of the range 2GBRAM 32GB ROM version!

It’s the 2GBRAM model we are interested in though so what are the specs?

The Voto X2 features a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 display, quad-core MT6589T processor and 13 megapixel rear camera. All the usual connectivity options are there too including WIFI, Bluetooth, GPS and there is dual SIM support also!

We featured the OrientPhone S4 Advanced earlier today, where we said it is quite possible the best Samsung Galaxy S4 alternative available today. Even if it didn’t have the 1:1 replica look of the Korean phone, the OrientPhone S4 Advanced would still make it on our list due to the excellent hardware.

Zopo ZP990

Zopo have a huge number of smartphones which are available with 2GB RAM, but we thought we would skip the ZP980, C2 Platinum and others and cut straight to the latest and largest Zopo ZP990 phablet!

This is the first phone on our list of 2GBChinese phones which breaks the 5-inch barrier and makes it firmly in to phablet territory! At 6-inch the ZP990 is an impressive size, and with a full 1080 display you will be able to appreciate the screen space if full high-definition, plus there is Gorilla Glass protection in case you ever drop it!

Like most of the phones here the Zopo ZP990 runs on a Mediatek platform, has 2GBRAM and a 13 mega-pixel rear camera.

Oppo Find 5

The Find 5 is the phone which placed Oppo firmly in to the eyes of international phone fans, and Oppo are one of the few Chinese phone makers to distribute there phones to multiple countries around the world themselves.

If you don’t already know the Oppo Find 5 specifications then you are doing something very wrong. The phone is available internationally with a 1.5Ghz Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset, 2GBRAM and 5-inch 1080 display. Here in China, China Mobile customers can order the phone with a more powerful Snapdragon 600 chip.

Oppo Mart sell the Find 5 internationally and are currently offering accessories for the phone at a discount of 30%.

FAEA F2S

We are quite excited about FAEA phones. The brand currently offers 2 models the FAEA F1 and the FAEA F2S, both of which offer built-in NFC as standard, still pretty rare on most Chinese smartphones.

The 2GB version of the FAEA F2S will launch toward the end of the phone, as well as getting more RAM the flagship version of the phone also have 32GB Memory. THL Monkey King

The THL Monkey King (aka THL W11) is the first of a new breed of THL phones. The handset shed the old and tired looking Samsung design of older THL models and gained a more attractive modern design together with innovative features!

GooPhone S4 Mega

Another phablet but this time it is the largest here with a massive 6.45-inch panel and full 1920 x 1080 display. In true GooPhone tradition, the Mega looks a lot like an oversize Samsung Galaxy S4, and could actually be an alternative to the Note 3 when it finally goes on sale.

Xiaomi Mi2S

What can we say about the Xiaomi Mi2S which hasn’t already been said! It is the smallest phone in the list at 4.3-inches, but it is also the most powerful thanks to an updated processor and that all important 2GB RAM!

It hasn’t been a better time to buy a Xiaomi Mi2S. Prices have dropped thanks to the immenet launch of the Mi3 making it more affordable than every, but with its powerful processor and excellent ROM it still makes an excellent value for money buy.

A Snapdragon 600 processor and 2GBRAM handle performance, and there are options for either an 8 mega-pixel or 13 mega-pixel rear camera depending on which built-in storage option you choose.

JiaYu G4 Advanced

The G4 still remains one of the best built Chinese Android phones you can buy. The phone is based around a 4.7-inch display mounted on a sturdy but light stainless steel chassis.

JiaYu offer the G4 in a number of various levels of trim. The base models originally shipped with a 1.2Ghz CPU and 1GB RAM, however all phones have now been updated to a 1.5Ghz chipset with the Advanced model also receiving updates to the 13 mega-pixel camera and 2GBRAM.

Neo N003

It seems like an age has gone by waiting for this phone to launch, and in all honesty it is a little late to the battle, but the Neo N003 does have a lot of fight still left in it!

The 2GB version of the Neo N003 should be in stores by the end of this month, the current version has just 1GB RAM and 4GB Memory! However, there are features the Neo offers which are still not available on all phones! Support for MHL and OTG for one, then there is a laminated screen which can fend off an electric drill all powered by a quad-core CPU.
