In a typically un-JiaYu move the stainless steel bodied JiaYu G5 has been spotted at the Chinese Ministry of Communication where it has received its network license!
Generally speaking, when it comes to news of the JiaYu phonelaunch things never run smoothly! The JiaYu G3 launch last year was plagued with delays, and the G4 launch also ran on a little long than anticipated!
Gizchina News of the week
The JiaYu G5launch looks to be heading in the right direction though, as the new phone has already received it’s network license allowing JiaYu to sell the phone. JiaYu have been wise not to make any promises with the G5 but this latest news is encouraging and could be a sign of an imminent launch!
Measuring just 7.9mm the G5 is a stainless steelphone with 3000mAh battery, 1.5Ghz quad-core MT6589T processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB memory, 4.5 inch 1280 x 720 OGS display, 13 mega-pixel rear camera, dual SIM and Android 4.2.1 OS.
There are two versions (as Jiayu G4) 7.9 mm for 1850 mAh and 9.85 mm for 3000 mAh. But I don’t see the reason to buy an ugly iphone looking monster.
