ZTE have stuck by their word and have just launched the Nvidia Tegra 4 powered ZTEGeek on the Chinese market at an incredible $308!
ZTE are targeting Xiaomi’s Mi3 with the Geek, not only on price but on specification too, but in the process they have also shown other Chinese phone makers just exactly what can be achieved at with lower priced hardware.
Gizchina News of the week
At 1888 Yuan ($308) it is slightly cheaper than the 16GB Xiaomi Mi3, yet it has the same 1.8Ghz Tegra 4 chipset, 2GB RAM, 5-inch 1920 x 1080 display and 13 mega-pixel rear camera.
ZTE have also given the Geek Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Glonass, and Android 4.2! It’s not all perfect though! There will only be a 16GB model available, the phone itself isn’t the most attractive in the world, the battery is just 2300mAh and there is currently only support for China Mobiles TD-SCDMA 3G networks!
If he is like he’s brother the ZTE Geek V975, so no.
i believe the the battery is removable.
and andy, which CPU is Faster, The Tegra 4 or the Snapdragon S800?
for me its now Xiaomi mi3 Vs ZTE Geek
thank you 🙂
As said above, it’s a shame these Tegra 4 devices only work in China. Hopefully they’ll make a WCDMA version as well for us 外国人!
