ZTE Nubia will launch Snapdragon 800 flagship phone in November

The Nubia brand was introduced this year as a flagship ZTE phone brand, and they tend to keep to focusing on the high-end with a new Snapdragon 800 device this November.

ZTE only introduced the Nubia brand this year with the Nubia Z5. At the time we thought the Z5 might have been a great rival to the Oppo Find 5, but ZTE haven’t really done much to push the brand, and their recently launched Z5 mini hasn’t really attracted customers as ZTE had hoped.

Still the company are eager to show the world what they are capable of and are getting ready to launch a new flagship model with top-of-the range Snapdragon 800 processor. Speaking to Chinese tech site CNMO, Nubia general manager Ni Fei spoke about the new phone in passing, only mentioning the CPU and that it will feature much improved camera features.

A new Nubia device will be welcomed to the phone market, but November is going to be a tricky time for the new brand as Meizu’s and Xiaomi’s new phones will be on sale then, as well as the Oppo N1!

The problem I’ve seen with the Nubia Z5 mini is the lack of availability and community, really.

In searches I couldn’t find any important discussion about the Z5 mini, ROM support, updates, etc. At least for Xiaomi (for example) we know there’s a lot of community support and frequent updates.

So even though it might look great in paper, the lack of pretty much everything else overshadows its features.
