I’m not 100% sure how GizChina.es have managed it, but they have got their hands on the still unreleased Xiaomi Mi3Tegra 4 version!
A full review is in the works, but the team have put together a hands on video and a few words about first impressions.
Xiaomi Mi3 Tegra 4 Unboxing
Xiaomi Mi3 First Impressions
Just as we discovered last at the Xiaomi launch event in Beijing, GizChina.es write that they are impressed with the quality, finish and feel of the Mi3.
Gizchina News of the week
The photos above from Antutu show us the tech specs of the phone. MIUI is based on Android 4.2.1, the rear camera is 13.1 mega-pixels, 2GB RAM, Nvidia processor, and a full HD 1920 x 1080 display.
This is a preproduction sample of the Mi3 so I am not sure it is running as smoothly as the production versions will, but benchmarks are still very very impressive. The full review will show all the scores but as you can see here Antutu is impressive at 28,794!
You can also probably just make out that the phone doesn’t have a SIM inside, this is because this version of the phone is a TD-SCDMA version and 3G won’t work in Spain, however they are going to test if GSM works for us.
Full review coming in the next few days.

SD Card ? I’ve seen some info that this phone has no SD Card expansion slot…
Oh no, what the hell….. Lei Jun said that in the labs MI-3 scored 37,5k. So in hands Xiaomi would score 36k at least with no doubt. But now 29k, wtf is going on. This is supposed to be the fastest smartphone in the world.
They must have just over clocked it or hard coded some ram functions or forced CPU at 100 percent at lab. 37.5 k is hard to believe even for t4 or 800 series as even ptech device reviewed here only hit just below 30k 🙂
Probably do have to wait for release sample to confirm as they claimed to be using t versions of 800 and may be of t4i as well.
But it HAD to score 36k. I planned to buy MI-3 and overclock it to 1,9 ghz to score even more than 36k. But now I just don’t understand. My only hope now is that this MI-3 is juts a prototype sent straight from representation day (hands-on day). So the true MI-3 which will be available from 15 October will bring true power. If not … well then I’ll have to save more money for Note 3, because Tegra Zone and Tegra 4 power are the only things why this phone is better than Note 3.
My argument for the prototype version, would be this thing on the MI-3’s back ( watch video at 3:16). But I’m not sure …
