Huawei’s new UltraStick is an SD which lacks any memory but packs a 3G punch.
Looking a lot like an Eye-fi rival the Huawei UltraStick is actually a super slim 3G USB dongle alternative. Huawei have taken an regular size SD card, removed the internal memory and added 3G and Nano SIM slot in the empty space.
Gizchina News of the week
The UltraStick looks like the perfect piece of kit for anyone wanting to add 3G support to a WIFI only Android tablet or laptop without having to rely on a bulky USB dongle.

Good for wifi only tablet which has dual sd card slot or massive amount of internal memory I guess.
The title of this article is totally wrong.
Shouldnt it be something like:
Huawei UltraStick brings 3G compatibility to SD card!
Otherwise it just looks terrible hehe
you are right, title says wifi functionality while article is about 3G functionality
also full SD card supported by nowadays tablet? keep dreaming…
now all we need to do is to find a device with a SD card slot. unless we want to add 3G to our cameras 🙂
I was thinking it would be great on an Ultrabook. I don’t like using a 3G dongle
Good point.

So since when does any Tablet support a standard SD card slot??
That is the best comment so far. Plus one would need the extra space even if it supported regular sd card expansion.
