Spy photo of 8-core Mediatek MT6592 Zopo phone

It’s that time of year again, the time of year that Chinese phone makers battle it out to be first sporting the latest Mediatek processor! Here is Zopo’s entrant with an 8-core Mediatek MT6592 chip!

Early this year we posted images of an updated Zopo which would replace the Zopo C2 since that time very little news about the new phone has appeared until now! This spy photo is of the first next generation Zopo smartphone to run Mediatek’s latest 8-core MT6592 processor.

From the image we can see that the new Zopo will feature dual-sim support, run a Mali-450 GPU and Android 4.2.2 (which we hope is as near stock as most recent Zopo ROMs have been). Other details are blanked out, and unfortunately the Antutu benchmark results have not been posted yet.

What Mali 450 they are going to use? There is MP4 and MP8 ! The phones will be a gaming consoles with this chip!

Wouldn’t it say ‘MP4’ if it was a four core GPU? Perhaps they are only putting one core in just like the 6589 only has one core. If that’s right this could be a let down, and it might explain why Qualcomm felt confident enough to slag off Mediatek’s gaming credentials a few weeks ago : (

Can any one suggest if any Octa-core MediaTek MT6592 supported new to be launched phones will support LTE. Specifically Band 3 (1800Mhz) and Band 7 (2600Mhz)> I am looking to use the new phones in Singapore where all telcos only support these 2 bands.

Please suggest! Also when and where to buy in China. Is all these phones available in retail stores or order online?

Also does that mean currently there is NO 4G LTE supported phones in China.
And whether Xiaomi Mi3- Snapdragon 800 version has LTE support or just 3g,

    Thanks in advance:)
