A couple in Shanghai are being charged with human trafficking after selling their baby to purchase luxury goods including an Apple iPhone.
The couple who live in Shanghai and already have 2 children said to police that as they already had two children (which is the most children allowed under Chinese law as long as certain conditions apply) they believed it was better for their baby to be put up for adoption to a family who couldn’t have children of their own.
Apparently the parents of the child received between 30,000 – 50,000 Yuan for the baby, and used the money to buy shoes, luxury products and an iPhone. They are currently being held by police waiting for trial.

That’s sickening. They should have bought an android phone!
Jokes aside though, if they needed the money to feed their other kids then maybe they would have had an excuse, but as it stands they sound like very misguided people!
