TCL N3 now available in China; Priced $330

Uber-thin bezel phablet, the TCL N3 is now available in China for RMB 1,999. The 6-inch device had been in the news for having a seriously high screen to footprint ratio, thanks to the 1.95mm bezels.

The TCL N3 was made available to the Chinese public yesterday, and priced at about $330, the device offers a good value for your money. Seen as an alternative to the more pricier phablets in the market, the TCL N3 comes with a powerful set of internals, that include a 1.5GHz quad core processor in the form of the popular MT6589T, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM.

On the imaging front, the device comes with what’s seen as standard for a 2013 flagship device, meaning a 13 mega-pixel rear shooter and a 2 mega-pixel front unit. The highlight remains to be the 6 inch full HD screen, though. Features like NFC, wireless charging mean that the device will be on par with other flagship devices from manufacturers around the world.

Shame, they make such good hardware

what if you install a custom rom in your device?
maybe it’s better for you. Not justifying tcl making bad software, though.

From what I’ve heard in the developer community, Mediatek does not disclose source code making it tough to develop custom ROMs.

I wonder why it is so difficult to just make these work with stock Android. That’s what the market wants anyway isn’t it? Nobody wants their glitchy bloatware. And am I the only one who has the screen scrolling downon this website?

      Website scrolling down?

What about OTG and MHL support?

Also, since the screen size is 6″, the 441 ppi display resolution on other MTK6589T based 5″ phones is not going to be available here. 🙁
