Xiaomi Mi2 Kernel sources released on Github!

Kernel source codes for the Xiaomi Mi2 turn up on GitHub, custom ROMs coming soon?

A few months back there was news that Xiaomi would be releasing the kernel source codes for their phones. Since that first news nothing else has been mentioned of Xiaomi’s open source intentions, but the kernel source code for the Xiaomi Mi2 has managed to make it’s way in to the public domain.

The kernel source codes for the Xiaomi Mi2 are being hosted on GitHub here and can be freely downloaded by anyone with an interest in creating a new custom ROM for the popular Mi2.

If these files do in fact contain everything developers need then this could be an exciting time for Xiaomi owners who have had not choice but to run Xiaomi’s MIUI rom. Which custom ROM would you like to see hit the Xiaomi Mi2 first? CyanogenMod, Pacman, Paranoid Android, or something else?
