In a unique strategy of sorts, China’s ZTE have unveiled the Blade Q lineup of 3 Android-powered smartphones, namely the Blade Q Mini, Blade Q and Blade Q Maxi, all of which offer exactly the same specifications save for varying screen sizes!
While many a buyer whine about not having large enough displays, some old-fashioned folk like me prefer comparatively smaller devices (evidence suggests there’s company). However, with the Blade Q lineup, ZTE hope of offer something for all. The trio will come with screens measuring 4 inches (480 x 800p, Blade Q Mini), 4.5 inches (480 x 854p, Blade Q) and 5 inches (480 x 854p, Blade Q Maxi).

Apart from the varying screen sizes, the devices will have the same 1.3GHz MT6572 dual core processor, 5 mega-pixel rear and 0.3 mega-pixel front-facing snappers, 3G support, FM Radio, Bluetooth, GPS and WiFi. The Blade Q Mini will feature the smallest battery, i.e., 1,500mAh, while the Blade Q and the Blade Q Maxi will feature 1,800mAh and 2,000mAh units respectively.
There’s no word on pricing yet, but ZTE have confirmed a Europe release.
