Gionee are hot on the heals of Vivo in the 2K smartphone race and hope they will be the first to launch a smartphone with a 2560 x 1440 resolution with the Gionee Elife E7.
Gionee have quite a following in China and India, and their recent phone launches have managed to breath new life in to the brand with new stylish designs. The Elife range of phones in particular have sold well despite costing more than similar devices, but this is all part of Gionee’s approach as being seen as a ‘premium’ phone maker.
However there is only so far a phone company can go with Mediatek powered phones, and if one wants to go head to head with the Oppo’s, Samsung and Apple’s of the world you need to pull something quite special out of the bag!
Gionee’s response to this is the Gionee Elife E7 a phone rumoured to have a 2K ultra high definition Sharp GIZO display, quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU and possible 4G LTE support. Gionee and Vivo are expected to launch their next generation flagship phones before the end of the year with pricing of the E7 though to be around the 3299 Yuan mark.
