Low-cost OPPO R833T with TD-SCDMA now listed, WCDMA variant soon?

Fast rising Chinese manufacturer OPPO have listed their latest quad-core smartphone, the OPPO R833T with a price tag of 1,398 Yuan ($213) in China. However, there’s no WCDMA support on the device, which means 3G operation will be limited to users on the China Mobile network.

The phone comes with a design language similar to the OPPO N1 which was released in September. Full specifications of the device include a quad-core MT6582 processor clocked 1.3GHz, 1GB RAM, 4GB ROM, 5 mega-pixel rear and a 2 mega-pixel front camera. The device will have a 4.3 inch screen with a WVGA resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, and will be powered by a 1,700mAh battery.

Like most other OPPO smartphones, the R833T will come with HiFi audio as well. However, there is no word on a WCDMA compatible version of the device, but we expect it will be launched sooner rather than later.
