A few weeks ago we reviewed the Elephone P6 a phone which surprised us by just how good it was for the money! Soon Elephone will launch the P7 a budget 5.5-inch, quad-corephone starting at $100!
Elephone sent us the manufacturing specifications for the Elephone P7 today and we have to say that it is looking rather impressive for an entry-level smartphone. The design of the P7 reminds us of recent Oppo products with an all white 152 x 88 x 8mm body and large 5.5-inch (qHD) display.
Similar to the Zopo ZP820, the P7 runs a quad-core Mediatek MT6582 with 1GB RAM, so we know Antutu benchmarks are going to be very impressive. Cameras are a 2 mega-pixel front and 5 mega-pixel rear, there is also GPS, AGPS WIFI, dual-SIM, micro SD card expansion and support for OTG.
Elephone have informed us that the first batch of 500 phones (200 of which will be for international markets) will cost just $100, after this initial promotion the price will rise slightly to around $140, which is still very reasonable for a quad-core, 5.5-inch phone!
