Fans of the 6.44-inch UMi Cross may want to put a hold on their purchase until 1st December when a version with integrated NFC support will become available.
Since before the launch of the UMi Cross one of the key features of the phone was NFC, Near Field Communication, allowing for ease of sharing, phone sync and even electronic payments! But despite the specs the first batch of UMi Cross actually shipped sans NFC!
This is going to be be rectified though with the launch of an NFC equipped UMi Cross on 1st December. The addition of NFC seems to be the only change and the new model will get the same large 1080 display, 2GB RAM, quad-core processor and 13 mega-pixel Sony lens.

Should have upgraded the processor to 8 core.
For me, phones launched prior to 8 core will, it seems, suddenly appear overpriced, so I’m less concerned that the processor hasn’t been upgraded and more focused on likely price reductions in order to maintain the value-for-money rating.
