DOOV planning to launch DOOV S3 with rotating camera, rival to the Oppo N1

Since Oppo’s N1 launch Chinese phone makers have been looking carefully at the prospect of launching their own rotating camera phone, and DOOV may be the first with the release of the DOOV S3.

DOOV have largely spent most of this year concentrating on manufacturing Mediatek phones with camera centric hardware, to the next logical step would be to launch a phone with rotating camera solution.

The renders which DOOV have released don’t represent a final design and actually seem to be copies of purported Vivo renders of the Xplay 3S with the same 360 degree rotation design that can also double as a stand for a phone, but the fact that they are producing the ideas may suggest something similar will go in to production next year.

Is it possible that along with the boom in 8-core phones we are also going to see more rotating camera phones launch in 2014 too?
